The Hohe Tauern National Park is one of the most magnificent high mountain landscapes in the world. In addition to countless plants, around 15,000 animal species live here, originally from the Central Asian cold steppes, the Arctic or even Southern Europe. At the National Park Center in Mittersill - only a good 10 minutes drive away - you can get an overview of the National Park, its "inhabitants". The 1,800 m² Hohe Tauern National Park Worlds are among the most modern National Park Centers in Europe. Visitors walk through 10 fascinating natural areas one after the other and learn about and understand the extraordinary diversity of the largest protected area in the Alps. In the spectacular 360° panoramic cinema you are right in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The "exhibition to touch" is a perfect all-weather program for the whole family and is waiting to be explored by you.

Not without reason are the national park rangers the figurehead of the national park - after all, they know the protected area like the back of their hand. During the summer months (July - September) you have the opportunity to meet and accompany the rangers in the National Park valleys (Habachtal, Untersulzbachtal & Obersulzbachtal).
